Make your own Teddy Bear

We founded Make my Bear in Sydney in 2011 to provide an enjoyable and creative “make a bear” party solution for children aged 3+. We found that “Make your own Teddy Bear” was somewhat cumbersome, so we decided on “Make my Bear” after considering various options.

Our objective was to create an alternative experience to Build-a-Bear. We explored how to offer a Build-a-Bear party at home and developed a teddy bear kit that can be mailed.

The “Make my Bear” experience is unique and creative. It begins with selecting a new furry friend, then watching as their special friend comes to life. Each teddy bear kit includes:

• Stuffing that lovingly fills its belly,
• A satin heart to make a wish upon,
• A personalised birth certificate,
• And a carry bag that can be reused.

Children also have the option to choose from our range of Teddy Bear clothes and accessories, including a recordable voice box.

With Make my Bear, you give your child not only a special gift but also a wonderful bonding experience. Our teddy bear-themed experiences build on children’s natural affection for their favourite soft toys. By personalising the experience through an interactive building process. Make my Bear Materials

We take great pride in sourcing high-quality fabrics to ensure you produce the softest, most lovable toys possible. Our stuffing is made from recycled plastic water bottles; it is soft, touch-friendly, and fully washable. The carry-home bags are also made from recycled materials, designed similarly to library bags, intending that they will be reused rather than discarded.
